Low carbon food delivery into city
My friend and colleague Andy Whiteford is responsible
for setting up SailTrade; an emerging
Community Interest Company committed to the principles of local food, fairtrade
and sustainability. Harnessing only the natural forces of wind and tide they
aim to provide a viable, low carbon contribution to transport networks linking
food producers and markets around the Tamar Valley it’s estuary and adjacent
coastal region. Recently featured on the BBC, Andy and team are
currently delivering to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen in
Plymouth.
